A Network of Community Health Providers Serving Greater Cincinnati

To embrace and promote the health and wellness of the underserved.

Our vision is that quality comprehensive health care is a fundamental right for all people.

  • We believe that all people are entitled to good health care, a place to live and a sense of self-worth.
  • We believe comprehensive healthcare requires understanding and helping people physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally.
  • We believe in placing the client at the center of what we do.
  • We respect the client's wishes regarding his or her needs without judgment or criticism.
  • We work collaboratively with diverse individuals and organizations in the community.

In 2003, children under the age of 18 accounted for 39% of the homeless population. 42% of these children were under the age of five.

The National Coalition for the Homeless found in 2001 that 42% of people experiencing homelessness are employed. (Many of these workers are employed by day labor agencies, characterized by low pay, no job security, no health insurance, and inadequate worker protections.)

For families and individuals struggling to pay the rent, a serious illness or disability can start a downward spiral into homelessness, beginning with a lost job, depletion of savings to pay for care, and eventual eviction.
